We are very excited to be a part of Australia’s newest Home Renovation TV Show
If you are a fan of the great Aussie tradition of home renovation TV shows you have probably been watching Channel 7 and 7 Plus’s fabulous new show, Dream Home! This new addition to the home reno TV show genre not only has life changing outcomes for all of the contestants in the form of totally renovating their existing homes but it also features an exceptional judging cast and host. Dr Chris Brown, a long time TV personality favorite and newcomer to the home renovation scene is hosting Dream Home. He has been joined by industry experts, leading property buyer’s agent, Simon Cohen and principal designer at Hassell Studio, Rosie Morley. Renovating Queen, Lana Taylor of Three Birds Renovations rounds out this A-list panel.
If you have been watching along on Channel 7 or 7 Plus you would have seen some of the best reno shows on TV to date with the dramatic makeovers of two properties in Melbourne. The unique Australian interior design and architectural transformations on Dream Home have left viewers not only in awe but also inspired to take on their own room reveals at home after watching the ‘everyday’ contestants pull off these reno masterpieces. Even more heartwarming is that each renovated home is given back to the contestant, changing their life and their families’ lives after only two short weeks of renovating.
One integral part of the interior design and styling process is the inclusion of art in any space. And we are so excited to share that Art Lovers Australia is the art supplier for Channel 7’s Dream Home renovation show! As you know we are currently stocked artists with Art Lovers Australia at their Melbourne gallery and feature in their 2024 Collectors Book. So as you can imagine we were EXTREMELY EXCITED to receive a call to say one of our artworks had been selected by the contestants to appear on this brand new television series! To think that our work was chosen amongst all of the other incredible artists was just so fantastic!
The contestants of Dream Home are currently renovating two homes in the Brisbane region and the first round of room reveals aired over the weekend. Our original artwork, ‘Pigface Moment I’ was included in the guest bedroom room reveal for Liam’s home in Deception Bay which had been styled by Hannah and Jonny. This room was just such a lovely relaxed space filled with a sense of calm and lightness that I am sure would make any guest feel at home. Our work was positioned on the shelf behind the bed and worked beautifully. This position really allows for the artwork to be focused on and contemplated. Plus it was easy to spot when the episode aired and made for some camera shots!
We are just so chuffed to be included in this brand new home renovation series. Seeing our little original artwork styled with such care and consideration in the room was just so affirming. Channel 7 and 7 Plus have created an amazing home reno series in Dream Home and allowed for Australian style and interiors to be showcased in a way that hasn’t really been done before. We get to connect with the contestants and watch their wildest dreams come true and their whole lives change through teamwork and the guidance of the judges. We cannot wait to see the two Brisbane homes revealed in full to their owners over the coming week and then it will be off to Sydney for the final two home renos. We wish all of the teams good luck for this final location. And we also give a special thanks to Art Lovers Australia for their support throughout the whole process.
